A website is never just a website.
Your website is where your work, your point of view and your next opportunity meet.
Start with a decision
Before choosing a layout, decide what a visitor should understand. A potential client needs to know what you do, how you think and whether your approach fits their problem. A beautiful page is useful when it makes those decisions easier.
Give every page a job
A home page introduces. A case study explains a specific piece of work. A service page sets expectations. A contact page makes the next step clear. When those jobs overlap too much, the visitor has to do the organising.
Leave room to grow
A personal site changes as the work changes. A simple content structure makes it possible to add a project, publish a note or introduce a new service without rebuilding the whole thing. Start with a strong structure and let the archive develop over time.
